For Delta’s annual holiday ecard, they wanted to create something simple and magical for their 14 million SkyMiles® customers. Taking into account 13 different languages and recipients in over 140 countries, we created an engaging parallax-scrolling experience that was fun and eductaitonal.
Each section of the card focused on a region of the world and its unique holiday customs and traditions. Floating elements gave depth and interest. The educational portion of each came in the form of hot-spots that gave a breif description of the tradition, along with a spoken phrase of “Happy Holidays” in each of the languages. These sound clips were captured from actual Delta employees.
The experience starts untraditionally at the bottom of the page and scrolls up, emphasizing Delta’s new vision of “Keep Climbing.”
